About

I am an engineer by profession, born and brought up in Faizabad, the former capital of Avadh region in north-eastern India, a city of vibrant cultural blend and a seat of Hindu Lord Ram.

My surname “Mirza”, derived from a Persian word ‘Amirzadeh’ meaning son of a Prince  This signifies a Blood-line and relationship to the Imperial Families (royal descent) from South Asiaand individuals descended from the Persian nobility. Our origin is not Arab but Central Asia. The chain started from Chengiz Khan (Mongoloid) from Fargana in Central Asiaand the Tartars (Caucassoid). By virtue of certain intermarriages a new family started by Amir Taimur Lang known as MUGHALS.

In India“Mirza” was given to imperial prince; a title or a part of name implying relationship to the Mughal dynasty. The title can be placed both before the name and after it, such Eskandar Mirza, Kaamraan Mirza or like Mirza Mustafa Jamal and Mirza Murtaza Jamal. In any case, we have no relation with Qadiani Ahmadiyya sect of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed or with his prophethood.

My father Mr. Mirza Mohammad Raza, is directly related to Nawab Tafazzul Husain Khan, legal advisor of Nawaab Wajid Ali Shah to whom Britishers poisoned in his way back  from Calcutta to Lucknow after attending a legal case in the court with East India Company. From maternal side he is related to Meer Afzal Ali, who was private physician of Nawab Wajad Ali Shah and a later stage, recognizing his services,  Nawab conferred him with the title of “Shifauddula”.

This blog is meant to be an online reflection of my thoughts and ideas on the aspects that interest me and those I think might be worth sharing with others.

Though my writing may seem overtly political at times, I do not wish to be known as conservative or orthodox Muslim because, I believe in the basic principles of Islam i.e. equality, socialism, sacrifice and justice. Feelings of hatred have no place in my life for anyone on the basis of cast and religion. Apart from the above, I love nature and having a good time with family and friends, to cook delicious non-vegetarian dishes for them.

During my childhood I used to think what is life? Does it makes any sense to keep it limited up to “eat, drink, and merry”. Slowly by the passage of time it came to my mind, no, it is more meaningful than anything else so far depth and vastness of life are concerned. A man is a man only if he behaves like a man and covers a wide range of human sensibilities like experience, discriminative power of judgment, creative faculty, and senses of love, courage, bravery, patience and tolerance.

Hence, we have many think to do and many goals to achieve. Our life is seamlessly embedded with society, nature and the world. We have to decorate each and every corner of our life in the same fashion, as the God decorated this earth with plants, flowers, mountains, rivers, rain, birds and the moonlit nights glittered with stars to make it beautiful.

We can do if determination, dedication and sincerity would be there with the sense of sacrifice. No doubt, the luck has important role to play in life, as our affairs are attached to the destiny decreed by Almighty and sometime our best plans may lead us to the destruction but even then, we should keep on trying our best to achieve the objectives.

There is a phrase “God help those, who help themselves” and we can find the similar ruling in Sura Ar Raad, Aayat 13 of Quran: “Allah alters not His blessing from any people until they themselves alter their condition.” I never regret and do not want to look back in past. I always have a desire to do something different than others and wishing not to hurt any. The only way to live and die without regret is to find a way to make your life graceful and meaningful.
